Lincoln County Criminal Docket Search

Start your Lincoln County criminal docket search by figuring out which court holds the case, because Lincoln County Superior Court and Lincoln County District Court each keep their own records. The clerk of the court that has the file is the office to contact. Every criminal docket in Lincoln County traces a case in order, from an early appearance to later settings and the final outcome. What you see online helps. But it is not the whole court file. An online result also cannot prove that a scheduled event actually took place, so confirm key details with the clerk.

Odyssey for Superior Criminal Cases

The Odyssey Portal offers anonymous Smart Search for Lincoln County Superior Court. Enter a record number or a name in Last, First Middle order. Advanced options can narrow by location, case type, status, filing-date range, judicial officer, party, business name, or a sounds-like search. The live lists are dynamic, so use the options actually displayed rather than assuming a filter should be present.

Anonymous access supplies public case information, not a complete set of document images. A missing image can reflect the user's access role, the County Clerk's settings, a restricted case type, or the county's document-management configuration. It is not proof that the filing does not exist.

Inside a Lincoln County Criminal Docket

A docket is an event index. Lincoln's official District calendar sample shows that a case may recur under different settings, and each line must be read in sequence. Capture the court, number, charge, setting, result, and later disposition separately. Words such as scheduled, continued, stricken, dismissed, convicted, and sentenced describe different procedural facts.

Case Number The court-assigned identifier, entered exactly as shown, such as case or citation number; Lincoln publishes no universal local format.
Charge The offense title and statute or ordinance when displayed. A charge is an allegation, not a conviction.
Hearing Setting Preliminary appearance, arraignment, omnibus, status, review, plea, trial, sentencing, or another scheduled event.
Event Result Whether a matter was held, continued, stricken, vacated, or otherwise updated.
Disposition A dismissal, verdict, plea outcome, judgment and sentence, closure, or appeal entry when recorded.

District Calendar Fields in Practice

The Lincoln County District Court page identifies the court's misdemeanor, gross-misdemeanor, traffic, infraction, and municipal role and links its calendar. The official sample calendar displays date and time, judge, room, item number, setting, case number, prosecuting-party role, defendant role, offense, offense date, domestic-violence indicator, and failure-to-appear or warrant notation.

Use those fields to distinguish the calendar item from the case outcome. A date beside ARRAIGNMENT says what was scheduled. It does not establish that the person appeared, entered a plea, or received a judgment. For future District dates, use Find My Court Date and confirm time-sensitive changes with the District clerk at 509-725-2281.

How a Criminal Case Moves

A Superior docket may begin with filing and a preliminary appearance, then show arraignment, omnibus or status proceedings, motions, a plea or trial, sentencing, and later review. A District docket can show comparable arraignment, pretrial, plea, sentencing, probation-review, warrant, or failure-to-appear events. Not every case uses every stage, and a continuance moves an event without deciding the charge.

Docket flow: Charge Filed › Preliminary Appearance or Arraignment › Omnibus and Pretrial Settings › Plea or Trial › Judgment, Sentence, or Dismissal › Review or Appeal

Decoding Washington Docket Entries

Superior records can contain compact SCOMIS action codes. The official SCOMIS alphabetical code reference is the safest decoding source. Examples include NTSC for Notice Status Conference, NTTD for Notice Trial Date, and TRMIN for Trial Minutes. Supplemental lines can connect an entry with a participant, officer, proceeding, decision, or continuation.

A code expands the label but does not replace the filed document. For example, a notice of trial date identifies a notice, while trial minutes concern a proceeding. Obtain the actual instrument or signed order from the County Clerk when wording and legal effect matter.

Courts That Hold Criminal Dockets

Lincoln County Superior Court holds felony cases and their pretrial, plea, trial, sentencing, review, and post-judgment events. The Lincoln County Clerk maintains that official file at 450 Logan Street, second floor, Davenport, and answers records questions at 509-725-1401. Calendar questions go to the Superior Court Administrator at 509-725-3081.

Lincoln County District Court holds misdemeanors, gross misdemeanors, criminal traffic matters, traffic and nontraffic infractions, and city-ordinance matters. Its office is at 406 Sinclair Street in Davenport. Although Almira, Creston, Davenport, Harrington, Odessa, Reardan, Sprague, and Wilbur have municipal-court identities, the Washington Court Directory routes their court services to Lincoln District Court. The city clerk is not the ordinary custodian of the court docket.

Lincoln's Tuesday Warrant Procedure

If a docket shows an FTA or warrant: call the District clerk before appearing or relying on an older calendar entry. Lincoln County's public instructions identify a Tuesday 11:30 a.m. warrant-resolution procedure for qualifying matters, but exclude DUI and domestic-violence cases.

A warrant notation is a court event or status field, not a promise that a particular procedure is available. The clerk should confirm eligibility, current instructions, and whether the case belongs in District or Superior Court. A ticket may also contain both an infraction and a criminal citation; responding to one does not satisfy the other.

When the Online Record Is Unclear

Use the portal result as a route to the source. For a future Superior hearing, compare Odyssey Search Hearings with the county's posted Court Docket, then call the Superior Court Administrator for a cancellation or same-day question. For a District or municipal matter, use Find My Court Date and call the District clerk when a warrant, missed appearance, or recent change is involved. Settings can move after an ordinary daily search refresh.

In person, the County Clerk counter for Superior files is at 450 Logan Street, second floor, and the District Court counter is at 406 Sinclair Street. Ask which search system covers the number before requesting a document. By mail, identify the proper court, exact case number, party names, and document title, and confirm certification and postage costs. JIS-Link is a paid statewide display-information option, but it does not provide document images. Older District files may require staff help because archival material was microfilmed.

The general Lincoln County public-record form is not the fallback for a judicial case file. The county expressly routes non-administrative court-document requests to Superior or District Court. That distinction saves delay and keeps the request with the clerk who controls the authoritative record.

Sealed Dockets and Public Access

Washington court indexes, calendars, dockets, orders, judgments, and minute entries are generally available unless law, court rule, or an order restricts access. That principle does not make every item associated with a prosecution public. Police reports, witness statements, presentence reports, criminal or driving histories, and sentencing or probation correspondence are commonly restricted unless admitted into evidence or incorporated into a public filing.

Juvenile offender information is not displayed on a publicly accessible website. After an eligible juvenile record is sealed, state law imposes additional confidentiality limits. Do not infer that no record exists merely because a name search returns nothing. For an official Superior copy, use the County Clerk's specific copy process; for District material, contact the District clerk. A mailed request should identify the court, case number, parties, and document title and should confirm copying, certification, and postage charges first.

Key Rules:

Washington General Rule 31 governs public access to court records and recognizes restrictions created by law, rule, order, or case law.

RCW 13.50.260 provides the juvenile-record sealing procedure and confidentiality rules after sealing.

Lincoln County Public Records directs non-administrative court-document requests to Superior or District Court rather than the general Public Records Act form.
